The Stadion Dziesiêciolecia was built in 1954 in Warsaw by the will of the Republic of Poland and it was opened in 1955.
It hosted matches of the Polish national team, the Polish Cup Finals, athletics competitions, gigs, political gatherings and even Pope John Paul II was a guest there. Authorities decided to demolish it in 2008 and on its ashes, in view of the 2012 European Championship, it was built the Stadion Narodowy, new home of the Polish national team.
